Stay right in the middle of it.

The North Georgia Mountain Bike Association Headquarters sits adjacent to the Start/Finishat the Serenbe Wildflower Meadow, giving us room for 200+ campers and just about every kind of setup:

  • Tents
  • Pull-behinds
  • Camper vans
  • Small RVs
  • Weird homemade adventure rigs we’re honestly excited to see
 

The camping is primitive.
But not filter-water-through-a-sock primitive.

The field sits on a smooth gravel base covered with low-cut grass. In a former life, it served as parking for film crews for Avengers, Hunger Games, Stranger Things and the like. Now it has gone back to natural and makes a pretty great weekend basecamp.

What We’ll Have:

  • Live music Friday and Saturday

About Those Showers…
You bring the solar shower bladder.
We’ll provide the water, shower stalls and, assuming Georgia keeps being Georgia, enough sunshine to warm it up.
Luxury is a state of mind.

Electricity & Generators
We’ll have some power available for charging all those Wahoo computers, but we can’t plug the entire campground into the mothership.

Coming with your own juice? Great.
We prefer the whisper-quiet kind, but we’ll also have a designated generator camping area for anyone who needs to make watt bombs for their campers.

Travel Trailers and Fifth Wheels…
Camping is down a well maintained gravel drive. It however does have a bit of a pitch entering into and existing out of from where the road meets the drive. We haven’t had any issues with clearance in the past, but we did want to make you aware. You can see the drive in the header image above. 

Nights at Basecamp

Friday and Saturday nights, the camp comes alive with music, firepits, s’mores, cold drinks and good people.
We’ll keep the organized fun going until around 10:00 PM.

Other Camping Options

Need more hookups? A real bathhouse? A cabin? A treehouse with string lights and a mattress? We understand.

McIntosh Reserve Park
Some of the singletrack, built by NGMBA, and some of the best Chattahoochee River views in the area is at McIntosh Reserve. Plus some of the single track will be on the Saturday 100-mile route. It offers primitive camping, trails, history and some truly beautiful views of the Hooch.
As the crow flies, it’s close. Unfortunately, your camper is probably not a crow, so plan on roughly a 30-minute drive to the Start/Finish.

Chattahoochee Hills – Campbellton Park
Adjacent to Saturday’s routes and right on the Chattahoochee River, this park has 5 campsites.  Plenty of quality roads for riding, plus if you just happen to need a boat launch, this is your place.  Campbellton Park is about a 15 minute drive to the start.

Chattahoochee Hills – Riverlands Park
This is Chatt Hills newest park offering seven campsites,  bathrooms and a boat launch. This is the closest camping site outside of NGMBA Headquarters and about a mile from all of the Dirty Sheets route and 10 minutes from the start.

Chattahoochee Bend State Park
Looking for the full State Park treatment? This is probably your answer.
RV sites. Tent camping. Cottages. Hot showers. Hiking. Paddling. River views. Biking trails.
In other words: camping with infrastructure.
Plan on roughly a 30-minute drive to the Start/Finish.

Hipcamp & Glamping
Maybe you love camping. Maybe you love the idea of camping.
Maybe your definition of roughing it requires a mattress, electricity and a roof.
No judgment here.
There are Hipcamp options around Chattahoochee Hills ranging from campsites to cabins, treehouses and glamping experiences.

Not Camping? We Still Like You.

There isn’t a giant row of chain hotels sitting across the street from the Start/Finish.

That’s kind of the point.

The good news is that Dirty Sheets is only about 30 minutes from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and the surrounding ATL Airport District, where you’ll find thousands of hotel rooms, restaurants, breweries, shops and pretty much anything you forgot to pack.

Stay in the ATL Airport District
For traditional hotels, we recommend checking the ATL Airport District.

Look at:

  • Hapeville for restaurants, drinks and easy airport access
  • Union City, Fairburn and the City of South Fulton for options a little closer to the event

Want to stay closer to the action?
